Project date: February 2025
Location: Troutdale, Oregon
The Challenge
This homeowner had a crawl space that was flooding regularly. Despite a good effort to manage the water by installing a sump pump install they were shocked to find over 9 inches of water covering the entire crawl space during our inspection. That’s over 10,000 gallons!
Our Solution
Whether it’s 200,000 gallons or 10,000 gallons, we can keep it dry! We began by pumping out the water and removed the vapor barrier. We then placed fans in the crawl space while we trenched.
Next we installed about 150 feet of drainage, all leading to the sump pump.
After a week of pumping water out and allowing the soil to dry, we installed a new vapor barrier. This home is now dry forever!
Before and After Photos

The 9 inches of water found in the crawl space under the Troutdale, OR home.

Crawl space pumped and cleaned out.

We used a temporary discharge on the sump pump to keep the dry out going while we install the trenches.

Despite the shadows and angle, this trench is over 9 inches deep, with EZ Flow installed with incredible success! It’s more expensive but provides a cleaner, more free flowing trench that will last over 100 years!

New installed vapor barrier in the crawl space which will now be dry forever!
